Okay, so we know Olvia left to study the Ponyglphs to 'honor her husband's wishes' and he wasn't in the flashback so he must have died before Robin was born, maybe before Olvia even knew she was pregnant. So, 30-31 years ago.

And Clover recounts his brother's death in a flashback 26 years ago, which means Robin was 4, assuming his brother didn't die that year, it's very possible for the times to line up. Now, Clover escaped because he lied, not telling them he was a D. It would make sense he would pass along that information to Olvia and her subsequent child. And even though Robin did become an archaeologist at 8, Clover very clearly didn't want Robin to know about the Ponyglyphs because he feared the Government coming for her. Would that not include having to hide their name as well?

It also fulfills my childhood theory that Robin was a D.

the conversation continues easily as the two of you finish your breakfast, then, as you begin to prepare yourself to stand and leave, he stops you. "actually, there's one last thing i wanted to do before we went on camera."

your head tilts in confusion as you set your signature lipstick back in your bag, a deep red balm that you've used since you started working at vogue. it's become your trademark product, and almost everyone in the office knows exactly which one you use. "do i need to be worried, lewis?"

"no, not at all! it's this," he says, and your eyebrows rise in complete and utter shock when he pulls out a small box wrapped in white paper and a crimson bow wrapped around it all. "i wanted to get you a gift as a way of saying thank you for all the curveball questions you've thrown at me this year." your hands shake as you take the box from him, and you already know exactly which brand it is. cartier. sure, you've written pieces about their timeless looks and elegant aesthetics, and owning a piece of their jewelry has always been a dream of yours, but it's always been just that: a dream.

"lewis, i can't accept this. i- i'm honestly at a loss for words. seriously, no." you can't help but flush at how he's looking at you, those annoyingly beautiful eyes of his and the stupidly perfect crow's feet that only show up when he really smiles- when he smiles the way he is now. gods, amelia was right. you really are down bad for the driver.

"please, just open it up. if you don't like it, i'll take it back and you can choose something you prefer." he nudges the box towards you once more, and the crisp wax seal that sits on top of the paper is incredibly enticing.

"are you serious?" a part of you wants to think that this is some sick joke, that there's cameras on you and it's all going up on one of those prank channels on youtube. a much, much bigger part of you believes lewis, though. that is the part of you that takes the box between your shaking hands, carefully pops open the wax seal, nimbly unties the beautiful ribbon, and gently unfolds the pure white paper. when you finally open the box, you gasp, tears threatening to well in your eyes. "lewis..."

"do you like it?" his voice sounds anxious and hopeful, and you can't help but realize how much thought he'd put into this gift. when you'd invited him into your office to review some photos that were to go into an article in the next vogue issue a few months prior, he'd seen the vision board on your wall and asked about it. bashfully, you had explained to him that it was a silly idea you had when you graduated from uni with your friends- each of you made one, cutting and pasting photos from pinterest, magazines, newspapers, and anything you could find, assembling your dreams in a mishmash of colors and ideas. one of your dreams on the board had been to own this exact necklace- the cartier juste un clou necklace in white gold. the fourteen diamonds set in the precious metal glitter back at you, and you can't help but smile.

"i love it, lewis. thank you so much." he visibly relaxes, his shoulders loosening and the crease between his eyebrows disappearing.

"i'm glad. here, turn around. let me put it on you?" you happily oblige, lifting your hair out of the way after you stand so that he can fasten the delicate clasp over your spine.

it's safe to say that both his and your fans noticed the necklace hanging between your collarbones, sitting just below the star necklace you wear daily on top of your dark grey high-collared shirt. you try your best not to look at the comments on the videos of your interviews, but amelia had shown you one that day after the unedited interview went up online.

You didn’t think there would ever be a time when OJ would comfort you from the presence of Jean Jacket looming over Haywood’s residence naked.

You had just lost your only family, albeit, an estranged one since he became addicted to the limelight. He treated you well, but you wished he had given up his need to be a star since the cancellation of Gordy’s Home. You’d come around to see his kids, and he’d occasionally hang out with you when he wasn’t busy thinking about fame, but for the most part, you and Jupe had nothing more than the ‘siblings’ title. 

Even more so when you met the Haywoods and the existence of Jean Jacket, and when you confronted your brother, to put a stop to his suicidal attempts for public attention, that what had happened between him and Gordy before the animal got shot was ‘pure luck’, he didn’t listen to you. 

To choose to revive one’s dead fame over their own family was your final straw, and your last words to Jupe were ‘good luck’ and to be careful before Em whisked you away as you teared up, offering you a spot at their house to help them solve the uncertainties with the aerial being.

You didn’t think OJ would come back with bad news days after, that Jean Jacket had sucked up everyone in the event, including Jupe, his wife and kids. He immediately held you tight when you finally broke down, because, at the end of the day, they were still your family. Your only family, now nothing more than victims of an extraterrestrial monster.

It shouldn’t been inappropriate to be making out and removing each other’s clothes upstairs when you were supposed to be grieving but there was something about OJ that you couldn’t resist. 

The same way he felt about you.

You understood each other, in a way, having siblings of polar opposites, though he always pitied the relationship you had with your late brother. Em, despite her behaviour at times and her occasional jokes about putting Jean Jacket out to the world, OJ knew that like him, she would put family first. Plus, even with your shyness, you and Em got along very well, with the two of you respecting each other’s personalities.

You also took good consideration of animals’ behaviours, including his horses, and when he explained Jean Jacket’s tendencies to hunt the curious, you listened, just like he did when you poured out your feelings about the situation with Jupe. And with how much OJ had given and given and given, putting himself aside, for once, he wanted to change that. That even in a horrible situation, he found you. 

So when you and OJ stayed home, touching and appreciating each other’s bodies as it rained away, the last thing any of you expected was Jean Jacket to return, hovering over the Haywood’s house. 

Even as you mewled both out of fear and from the way OJ stilled his cock in you, you knew not to turn your head at the window, the gap of the curtain just enough to get a glimpse of the mysterious cloud. But you didn’t, and OJ, despite his own rapidly beating heart, comforted you. His arms remained around you, keeping you snug on top of him as he whispered in your ear.

“Good girl. Good girl.”

He held the back of your head to his chest, drifting your focus from the evil above to the pleasure he was bringing you, even as the behemoth dribbled blood from its victims from the fair down the farmhouse. He couldn’t risk you screaming over your late brother’s blood painting the walls outside, and if he was being honest, he was a little too far gone in the sensation, and you couldn’t find it in you to say you weren’t feeling the same way.

For once, you wanted what you wanted, to be loved and appreciated unconditionally, and it felt amazing to be with him. To feel the tears of pleasure brimming in your eyes as he worshipped you the way he saw you, as morbid as it was to feel as such at that moment. To be reassured that he had you, that he would take the reins for you, so long that you would have him.

He moved slowly, to hear the wet slaps of your hips and your little moans directly in his ears and in return, to let you know of his desires growing for you, too, all while trying your best to ignore the groans above.

He had promised to keep you safe, to treat you the way you deserved, and as horrible as he was to say it, Jean Jacket, out of everything it had done, it did everyone a favour by devouring Jupe, including starting a new life for you, and it would only further cement your beginnings with the Haywoods, with OJ, once Jean Jacket would finally be dealt with.

hey, i've seen a couple of times now, whenever karlie wears cartier love jewelry, they (gaylors) say "... she has matching with taylor", but i've only seen taylor wear it like once maybe

do you have a master post on cartier specifically, or if you could just clear it up a bit for me, where did that come from?

hi! i haven’t ever made a cartier masterpost for all the pieces, nor for just the cartier love collection pieces. so let me take this opportunity to give you a rundown! so first off, the facts, karlie owns a cartier love ring and bracelet (both of which she notably wore to eras tour, when she went to eras tour. did i mention, karlie went to eras tour? karlie went to eras tour.).

my understanding of where that wording from gaylors or kaylors comes from is that, it intends to point out that taylor has at times incorporated cartier love pieces into her work, which can be seen as a way of honoring karlie’s personal cartier love pieces, which are known to be very meaningful to her. we know they are meaningful to karlie because of things karlie have said—for example, karlie often talks in interviews about how she bought her cartier love ring with her first paycheck as a model.

karlie also notably owns a cartier tank watch (and more recently she’s been wearing a baignoire watch), and several cartier necklaces (amulette de cartier in onyx and cartier d’amour), and of course a cartier juste un clou bracelet (the one that looks like a hardware nail) which she’s had for many years as well. you can look through all the instances of all the pieces she’s worn over the years here.

i think that overtime this point about taylor wearing cartier has become a little bit blurred by shorthand kaylors or gaylors use, and people think it means kaylors are saying that taylor owns the exact same cartier love pieces that karlie does. that is something we don’t know. i am fairly positive we have not seen taylor wear cartier love pieces in candids or social media. you can browse a fairly comprehensive list of times taylor has worn cartier here.

but that’s not the point anyway, it doesn’t need to be, i would contend. it’s about taylor paying homage to karlie visually, and in a 1:1 way, by referencing items that are important to her.

all this being said, it’s worth mentioning that taylor has also repeatedly worn an agrafe herringbone necklace by cartier over the past few years, and she has worn other cartier pieces in public outings before as well, (including a juste un clou necklace) so i do think she likes cartier, and it’s pretty clear she owns stuff from cartier. (i would like to point out here that, there is a cartier photo book in the ME! music video, in their apartment. ME!, the music video about all the things that make taylor taylor.)

so it’s not too much of a stretch to imagine she might own pieces from cartier’s love collection as well, and that she’s simply never worn them. but again, the argument shouldn’t be allowed to be recentered on whether or not she owns the same pieces. rather, it’s about the iconography. cartier is meaningful both to karlie and holds a place in taylor’s world as well.

now to dive into the times that taylor has worn cartier love pieces. because i think that the times where she has worn cartier love pieces for photoshoots are noteworthy and meaningful in some ways. the two big examples are the rainbow dresses for the reputation album photoshoot, the album that is infamously referred to as being about karlie. and for the september 2019 vogue cover, which at the time many here had pinned as a potential tell-all coming out opportunity. that didn’t happen. (personally, i think that the inclusion of the ring on this cover photo is sort of like a… statement, as to why. (she’s setting off…but not without her muse)). both instances to me are noteworthy examples of incorporating pieces meaningful to karlie into moments in taylor’s career for which karlie played a pivotal role in taylor’s actions.

also, this is a little prequel content for you but, taylor is first documented wearing a cartier love piece in a cover for marie claire back in july 2010. which *pulls out calculator* would have been right before the very earliest that karlie could have bought the cartier love ring, based on the story she tells in interviews, as mentioned above. so there’s an invisible string for ya!

incidentally, this has happened again with another cartier piece. the amulette de cartier! taylor first wore one for elle magazine june 2015. karlie then famously begins wearing a small onyx one in 2018, and again during the pandemic in 2020.

anyways it’s (cartier is) just one of these things that if you’ve been paying attention to kaylor for many years, you’ve come to see as a kaylory brand. because of these various connections, the meaning imbued in the pieces by cartier and then of course with how meaningful taylor and karlie both say jewelry is to them 😌

Ammetto che il legame tra i dischi di Marzo non è dei più audaci né complicati, ma intorno al numero tre, come il terzo mese dell'anno, si può costruire molto in termini di agganci storico-musicali. Iniziamo quindi da terzo disco di una delle band più leggendarie del rock.

Una band che in poco più di un anno era passata dall'anonimato al successo più grande, con un inizio da favola: Jimmy Page voleva continuare a suonare come Yardbirds, di cui fu l'ultimo testimone, ma mette su una nuova band che prende il nome, suggerito da Keith Moon degli Who, di Lead Zeppelin, poi ristilizzato in Led Zeppelin. 1969, due dischi leggendari: Led Zeppelin I e Led Zeppelin II, due pietre miliari della musica rock, che aprono al mondo la potenza sonora del suono che Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, John Bonham e la voce, inimitabile, di Robert Plant mettono in questa avventura, partendo dal blues ma ammantandolo di potenza, di erotismo, di struggimento. Il successo è clamoroso: basta solo dire che il primo tour negli Stati Uniti verrà prorogato per 5 volte, e solo un piccolo infortunio vocale di Plant a Las Vegas nell'Aprile del 1970 lo interrompe. Per questo motivo, Plant e Page si trasferiscono per un certo periodo in un cottage in Galles, nella località di Bron-Y-Aur, dove si riposano e iniziano a pensare, in maniera più calma e sistematica a nuove canzoni. Le prime idee vengono poi sviluppate in modo diverso: la band prende in affitto un grande cottage a Headly Grande, nello Hampshire, e inizia a registrare con il mitico studio mobile dei Rolling Stones (che merita un prossimo post dedicato) tra maggio e giugno 1970: alcune cose verranno poi sistemate agli Olympic Studios di Londra e ai nuovissimi Island Studios di Notthing Hill, sotto lo sguardo attendo di Andy Johns e Terry Manning.

Quello che ne viene fuori, uscito il 5 ottobre del 1970, pone Led Zeppelin III come un disco che si stacca in parte dal precedente: sebbene esistano dei chiari legami con la potenza di fuoco dei primi due, specialmente in Immigrant Song, dall'attacco stellare (che leggenda vuole fu ispirata a Plant da un viaggio in Islanda dove la band fu invitata dalla BBC per un programma di scambi culturali) o con Celebration Day o Out On The Tiles (che è un modo di dire, tipo "facciamo bisboccia") il disco presenta una natura acustica e meditativa in molti passaggi, una diversa e affascinante appropriazione del blues, nuove sonorità che porteranno critici e fan a parlare di un nuovo sottogenere, l'Hard Folk. Già Friends, meravigliosa, indica la strada, ma è nello sviluppo del disco che questo concetto si concretizza: la meraviglia di Tangerine o That's The Way, la dolente drammaticità di Gallows Pole, rielaborazione di un traditional, The Maid Freed From The Gallows, dove Page suona il banjo e Jones il mandolino, altro gioiello della corona Zeppelin. Ma niente è sottotono: Bron-Y-Aur Stomp vede Bonzo Bonham usare i cucchiai come accompagnamento, Hats Off To (Roy) Harper (basato su un blues di Bukka White) è un omaggio al comune amico Roy Harper con Plant che canta attraverso un un microfono vibrato. C'è però un ultimo meraviglioso pezzo: Since I've Been Loving You è uno slow blues epico, che diventerà uno dei momenti clou dei loro memorabili show. A tal proposito, ricordo che alcune di queste canzoni furono suonate per la prima volta, prima della pubblicazione, nella storica esibizione al Festival Rock di Bath 1970, davanti ad un pubblico oceanico (secondo alcune fonti 200000 spettatori) in quello che è a detta degli stessi musicisti uno dei loro concerti più memorabili (secondo la leggenda 3 ore e 5 bis!), di cui per anni si sono rincorse notizie di alcune registrazioni negli archivi, che ancora non hanno visto la luce.

Un ricordo anche della spettacolare copertina: opera di Zacron, (Richard Drew) che Page conobbe all'inizio degli anni '60, era composto da un doppio livello, una copertina esterna con un disco rotante interno che mostrava immagini psichedeliche legate al volo (il dirigibile, le farfalle, fate, animali volanti) e il volto dei 4 Led Zeppelin: la grafica era piuttosto complicata da produrre, tanto che in alcuni paesi la prima tiratura fu venduta con una semplice busa bianca che invitata l'acquirente del disco a tornare in negozio a prendere la copertina definitiva (queste sono una chicca per i collezionisti). Nella prima edizione del disco c'era anche un messaggio nei solchi vuoti a fine lato B, "Do what Thou wilt, so mete it be" che è una massima di quell'Aleister Crowley, personaggio tanto chiacchierato quanto oscuro, che come esperto di "magia" aveva un certo interesse agli occhi di Page, che contagiò gli altri tre. Ovviamente la band iniziò da qui ad essere accusata di satanismo e stupidaggini varie, che non hanno nemmeno senso di essere approfondite.

Il disco all'uscita arrivò subito al numero 1 in Gran Bretagna, e alla seconda settimana negli Stati Uniti, dove era così atteso che in sola prevendita vendette un milione di copie. Tuttavia il cambio di passo non fu da tutti preso bene, e persino certa critica non fu soddisfatta. Così alla fine il III ebbe meno vendite di II e di I, cosa che un po' indispettì i Led Zeppelin e che li portò a quel Led Zeppelin IV, che in verità proprio per ripicca non ha un titolo definitivo, che conterrà ancora tante meraviglie di una delle band del rock, senza nessun dubbio.

Whether or not the AU gets its own fic is still up for debate for the following reasons :

- the AU is not complete yet. A few storylines and some arcs are vaguely planned but there's still a lot to work on imo

- Also it doesn't have a name yet asqirjrjgnls

- I've never written a fic before! Man this my first AU too! Plus english isn't my first language, so honestly I'm very unsure about my writing skills haha <:]

So yeah for now it's an art thing but we'll see! If the AU further develops and the Miro board gets too crowded I might give it a shot :D
